A collection of poems in Vernacular Arabic, in which the poet returns to writing the classic form of poetry ” Mawal” and produces a unique poetic and musical collection, directed by Basma Al-Banna. The poet draws inspiration from his life’s experience and divides the collection into the following chapters: The Share of the Soul, Hidden Valleys, The May of Love, When the Land Is Narrow, and Between People.
This edition includes several musical CDs, one of which contains the poet himself reciting the poems and another musical CD with the poems performed by prominent Bahraini vocal artists Ahmed Al-Jumairi and Khaled Al-Sheikh, and Kuwaiti artists Abdullah Ruwaished and Muhammad Al-Misbah, as well as the Iraqi Muhannad Mohsen. This is a special collection of poems, and the production also includes a DVD video with graphic art of the poems designed by the Algerian artist Samir Mairif, and Iraqi visual artists Nasser Thamer Al-Samarrai and Ahmed Al-Shehabi, with contributions by the calligrapher and collection’s designer Ammar Al Mahmoud.
