La Yatashabah Alshajar

About This Project

In this collection, the poet expresses a mixture of personal and national worries and concerns during a time when the nation was torn apart as it tried to overcome its modernity quest and struggles. The poet here takes you from the fire of an emotional experience to the furnace of national suffering, and from a personal isthmus to a contemplative sanctuary, where his soul will be healed and purified to return to being anxious and rebellious, susceptible to all forms of fusion and transformation.

This collection was issued in an elegant edition by the Arab Foundation for Studies and Publishing in Beirut, in cooperation with the Culture and National Heritage Sector of the Ministry of Information in Bahrain, on 172 pages in 2005.

The cover was designed by Jordanian artist Zuhair Shayeb.
